It may sound absurd, but it is true! And I've had to learn this the hard way...


I shouldn't be sitting here writing this to you, to tell you the truth.


The fact that I am alive serves as a constant reminder of how fortunate I am.

I served in the Marine Corps as a machine gunner in 2006.

On those gigantic Humvee trucks you see in movies, I was in charge of the machine gun turret.

However, the unthinkable happened....


I was engaged in a vehicle rollover accident while on a routine training exercise.


I was ejected from the vehicle, but it hit me as it flipped, pinning me to the ground and putting me in a world of pain.


As I was placed onto the medical rescue aircraft after the dust had settled, I recall looking up at the sky.


I suffered a shattered pelvis, a severed femoral artery, and compartment syndrome, among other ailments, according to the physicians.


It could have been a lot worse, but to say I was hurt was an understatement.


The next year and a half was a grind that felt like a walk in the park compared to Marine Corps training.


I'd had hundreds of surgeries and still didn't have full leg function.


I was stiff all over, moving hurt, and I had to rely on assistance gadgets just to get up and get around.


As I fretted about a life filled with pain, depression, worry, wrath, impatience, and dread clouded my head.


Then, after months of counselling, pain relievers, and a slew of other treatments that failed miserably -


finally, I said enough!


Something had to change because I had reached my breaking point!


I wasn't myself. I wasn't friendly in the least. I wasn't happy, and I was constantly miserable.


So, rather of spending the rest of my days on painkillers and "handling" the pain, I've decided to...


I resolved to study everything I could about how to correct my body...


and return to the person I was prior to the accident.


Now I've dedicated my life to assisting myself (and others) in naturally overcoming pain.

At the University of Illinois, I studied kinesiology, which taught me everything I know about the human body.


Next I went to Northwestern University for my doctorate in Physical Therapy so I could figure out how to fix it!


I am currently a registered Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of Illinois.


I'm also a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Therapeutic Pain Specialist.

I used what I'd studied in school about the human body and how it operates to this situation...


Plus, I gained devotion and dedication while serving in the military...


And turn that into a career that assisted me in overcoming my pain.


Now I devote my time to assisting my patients in doing the same so that they can resume their lives on their own terms.

Can I wash it?

Yes. Knee Guard Pro™ are made with machine-washable materials. Machine wash your brace in cold water using the gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay your support flat and let it air dry; do not put it in the dryer. Proper washing and drying help your knit support maintain elasticity and original fit.

What if I’m between sizes? Should I purchase the smaller or larger size?

Choose the larger size for gentler compression or the smaller size for firmer compression. 

When between sizes, the average person prefers the smaller size for a more secure fit, unless you are sensitive to compression.
